I had stayed in the old Grindell’s Hut (located in the Vulkathanha National Park in the northeast Flinders Ranges of South Australia on Adnyamathanha Country) during the 1970’s when mapping the geology of the area. I revisited 50 years later with my daughter on her artist residency there. Sunrises and sunsets provided a marvellous procession of colour across the valley below, which I captured in a series of watercolours on site.
