Description

Collage, acrylics, watercolour, and found objects on board. Layered on a collage of old botanical texts (showing in the rim around the leaves). ‘Golden’ fluid acrylics underpainting. Watercolour of accurate representations of actual rainforest leaves; skull and dried frog from Mary Cairncross Rainforest Local Govt Reserve, Maleny. This remnant patch of rainforest, bequeathed by the Thynne sisters during the 1890’s, is dying and changing as a result of climate change and its small size.
